Supplice and four more games

This week was quite interesting in terms of the spread between genres and art directions. It might not be obvious when looking at the games in this week’s list. But suffice it to say, much like the other weeks, I have seen my fair share of games. Does this mean the games were the be-all and end-all kind of thing this week? No, not by any stretch of the imagination.

It may not come as a surprise as Yuri published the news about the Women-led Games Event the other day. But I got the opportunity to read up on the event and take a look at the participating games while he was working on the article. What may come as a surprise, however, is that I have known about the latest Land of the Vikings update for quite some time. But more about that later. I mean, we have a list to take a look at after all!

The in-game editor

You may or may not know, but Laps Games added a building editor to Land of the Vikings on Tuesday 4th, 2023. Now, it may be called a building editor. But you can make decorations with the editor as well. The fact is, you have over 300 building blocks to pick and choose from with more to come. Yes, you guessed it. I will take a look at the update as soon as time allows.

On the subject of time, Motion Twin plans to add a new game mode to their game Dead Cells. You know, the extremely popular platform game that was released on August 6, 2018? I am sure you can see where this is going. But I will say it anyway. The game will get a speedrun mode! If you want to know more about the upcoming update called Clean Cut, read their announcement on Steam.

Whatever you decide to do, I will bid you adieu and see you here next week with what I can only assume will be even more games. Yes, the better part of the world is nearing its summer break and will make one final push to release its games before then. So you better buckle up because something tells me it will be a bumpy ride in the coming weeks.

Take care!
