More than 500 demos were available for 6 days during the Steam Game Festival 2021. And as anyone in my position can attest to, it’s impossible to cover them all in the allotted time. Luckily I’ve had the opportunity to play many of the available demos before, and as such I’m in a privileged position where I can play and talk about something new or previously unknown to me instead of doing the classic rehash. With that said. Here are some of my favorites, in no particular order, from the Steam Game Festival 2021.
The Last Stand: Aftermath
A Long Journey to an Uncertain End
Lacuna – A Sci-Fi Noir Adventure
The Amazing American Circus
I want more
Needless to say, maybe. But with the number of games available you’re bound to end up with a list of games as diverse as the people playing them. And we will most likely see more of this as the industry grows and matures. At least that’s what I hope to see as I appreciate the wide range of creativity these games ( and the others I didn’t mention) brings to the table. And I know that Yuri shares that sentiment. So why not take a look at his article to see what demos stood out the most to him during the Steam Game Festival 2021.
Disclaimer: I’ve backed the Kickstarter campaigns for The Last Stand Aftermath and A Long Journey to an Uncertain End.
