Everyone and their mother might be suppressed on Twitter right now. But that is not the case here on Indie-Gems. We keep finding games we need to talk about and, in some cases, even review. Yes, this is me giving you a heads-up about incoming reviews. Not only from me, mind you. But from Matty and Yuri as well. OK, that is half a lie. Yuri is working on something, just not a review.
There are others working on things as well. The developer Hiding Spot for example. They pushed an update for Beacon Pines. According to the announcement, the update adds a cooking minigame to the game. Let us say “game” again in case someone forgot I was talking about games. The joys of words repeating themselves in a sentence, right?
In addition to this, the developer Earthshine announced they are working on an update for their game Kingdoms Reborn called Land of the Rising Sun. According to the announcement the update will come on May 19, 2023, and add a Japanese-themed faction to the game. And let me just say, the building tiles being shown in the announcement looks quite good.
While on the subject of Asian-themed games. The highly stylized game World of Horror got an update as well. Panstasz, the developer, calls the update Dreadful Dreams. A fitting name given the overall theme of the game. Yes, this is one of those games you let your kids play if you want to prep them with nightmares and make sure they keep you from taking a look at this week’s list!

A piece of the puzzle
Believe it or not, there were even more announcements made this week. One of which put a smile on my face as I think it is the best game to come under the Warhammer license. But that game is more of a AA/AAA title and far from done. So I will save that for a different time and platform.
Something I will not save for another time, although I should, is Linkito by Kalinarm. It is said to be a puzzle game and reminds me of a printed circuit board. I would be lying if I said I had high hopes about me making any noteworthy strides in the game. But I sure have the intention of giving it a try and seeing how far I can get before I throw my system out the window.
Now, if my system manage to survive the game, I will be back here next week with a new list and maybe even a review of another puzzle game. Yes, you read that right, another puzzle game. I have no idea how I ended up in this situation. But you can be sure that I will do what I can to weather it through and keep the little sanity I have left.
