Poly Bridge 3 and four more games

Believe it or not, this week saw as many released games and miscellaneous updates as the week before it. I have seen far more, but this week gave me a curated list of 35 games to pick and choose from. I managed to get said list down to 13 and later the 5 games you see here today. Yes, my exclusion method is stage-based and considers a slew of things.

On the subject of things to consider. I am a Kickstarter backer of A Long Journey to an Uncertain End. And let me tell you, Crispy Creative, the developer behind the game, really lived up to the “uncertain” part of the name. See, the estimated delivery date for the game was November 2021. Yes, you read that right. This game has been in development limbo for quite some time. But now it has a release date which is June 29, 2023.

I was a backer of the failed Kickstarer campaign for The Pegasus Expedition by Kalla Gameworks as well. They re-grouped, came back, and failed again. Yes, this Finnish studio had a rough start to say the least. Now, I do not remember when it happened, but they signed with Fulqrum Publishing (former 1C Company) and are now set to release the game on June 20, 2023.

But you are not here for games to come, right? You are here for games which released this week. So without further ado, here are the highlights of week 22!

Friends with no benefits

In one of my streams I promised that I and Yuri would record an episode of Friends vs Friends by Brainwash Gang. We tried. But as luck would have it we ended up with some gamebreaking server issues. We turned invisible for no apparent reason and could use cards that never activated the perk or weapon it was said to activate. We even experienced rubberbanding that was so bad I thought I was behind a building when I was out in the open. As a result I took more than an arrow to the knee. So consider said recording postponed for now.

Luckily I have options I can fall back on, options that delivers a far more enjoyable experience. And one of those options are Aetheris by Wild Wits. The visuals are worth all kinds of rewards on its own. The gameplay depth is not far behind either. I am not saying it is the game of the year. But it ranks extremely high on my list of games to play. And with that in mind, it is time for me to bid you adieu. Yes, I am about to go try some new builds in Aetheris, and I recommend that you do the same if you have yet to do so, especially if you are into turn-based games.

Until next time. Take care!
