This week will be a little different compared to the previous week’s. I phrase it like that as it sounds more interesting than it actually is. The difference is nothing more than a newly announced game. And it is a VR game no less! Yes, it is finally here, the day no one thought would come. The day when I talk about, or at the very least mention a VR game. I guess it was inevitable as VR games are far better today than they were during the early days of Vive. I do not know if you got to experience it. But I felt like a bobblehead and have stayed away ever since. Will this game sway the needle? I do not know. But it sure looks interesting.
From failure to success
On the subject of things that are interesting, and quite surprising to me I might add. Blood Bowl 3 had a horrible release. At the time of writing this, the game has a Steam rating of 25%. How Cyanide Studio with their age and know-how ended up in that situation is beyond me. It seems like such a shitshow I cannot see them bounce back from this either. Still, I am going to hope for the best as I enjoyed Blood Bowl 2 and would like to enjoy this game as well.
Another game that had less than a stellar release is Company of Heroes 3 by Relic Entertainment. I do not know what is wrong with that part of the industry. But given the history it seems like no one can make a good real-time strategy game. And why is that? There needs to be a reason for it, right? I refuse to believe that a mixed rating is the best the genre can achieve. Whatever the case may be, I hope they bounce back. But until they do, you can enjoy some of the highly-rated games in this week’s list!

The end of this list
This might be the end of this week’s list. But it is not the end of my day. I have things to do and places to be. Hopefully it will be a shortlived process so I can get back to my battle station and play some indie games before it is to late. I may have my eyes on a AAA game as well. But do not tell my editor. If you do, he might fire me on the spot. And that, dear reader, would be a bad deal for you as these lists would become a thing of the past.
That reminds me. Cyber Protocol is 90% off on Steam until February 27, 2023. It released in 2020 and is considered to be part of the past. Some would even argue it is ancient by todays standards. But even so, it is a good game and worth picking up if you are on a tight budget and are looking for something to play. If you want something even more ancient to play, download Duskers. It released back in 2016 and are available for free on EPIC Games until March 2, 2023.
See, if you give me the podium I cannot stop talking about games. I really need to stop and get on with my day. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I’ll see you here next week. Until then, take care!
