Pan’orama and four more games

It is not often I want to go against the unwritten rules of the industry and speak my mind. But this week has been exceptional strange which makes it hard for me to stay silent. And not only in a negative way, mind you. This week has been strange in a positive way as well. For example, I got access to For the King II by IronOak Games a couple of days ago. I have yet to play the game and could not say if it is good or bad. But I know I enjoyed the first For the King game that released back in 2018. So I might very well enjoy the sequel as well.

On the subject of games I enjoy. I have been playing Trouble Juice by dietzribi quite a bit. The fact is, I played the game instead of putting this week’s list together. Not one of my proudest moments, I will admit. At least it tells us if the game is worth a look or not, right? And for those of you who want to know more about the game, yes, there will be a more detailed review published by yours truly closer to release, which is June 5th, 2023

Something more current and relevant for this week, however, is this week’s highlights. Now, I will put up a cautionary finger when it comes to the last game on the list, which is Drift. The game is in its infancy and has the same level of optimization, or lack thereof, as other games in a similar position do. But even so, I still think the game has potential and is worth keeping an eye on. At least if you are into simulation games taking place in space. For those of you who have had enough of space-themed games, let us take a look at the other highlights of week 19.

Zombie unicorns

There is something excitingly wrong with the game developers of today. I mean, zombie unicorns in a cyberpunk setting? Not even I saw that coming. I did not expect a six-legged Schrödinger’s box with a bear in it either. And do not get me started on the rubber duck squeaking his way through the city like he was the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man himself. Yes, Gori: Cuddly Carnage by Angry Demon Studio is a combination of the red and blue pill and something I gladly revisit at a later date.

Now, if you want to enjoy something less colorful, find it yourself or wait for next week’s list. Yes, I am calling it now. While I am sure it will be a good list, it will be far more dark and mysterious than this one. Remember the game Outlast? That is as much as I will say about what is coming up next week. Until then, take care, and remember to experience the world outside!
