I would like to say the biggest news this week was when I decided to take a step back and stop posting content to my Twitter timeline. And looking at my two dozen or so columns in TweetDeck, it seems like others decided to do the same. Luckily, I have been getting my news fix elsewhere. Or should I say Steam Next Fest news fix? Yes, This week has been full of announcements about demos and whether or not they will be available during the event. But more about that at a later date.
Have you heard about Team Five? No? Well, let us see what the developer Uniqa Entertainment has to say about the game.
Team Five offers a unique spin on the extraction genre, combining elements of strategy, action, and time management in a thrilling package. For fans of other extraction games like Dark and Darker and Escape from Tarkov, Team Five presents an innovative experience that challenges players to make critical decisions under extreme pressure.
Uniqa Entertainment
It might sound like the second coming is upon us when reading the description. But let me stop you right there before you get all excited over the perceived prospect of a new FPP game with detailed 3D graphics. Yes, I am the destroyer of hopes and dreams today. A more apt comparison would be Worms W.M.D, albeit a bit more explosive.
Another thing that went explosive is Heretic’s Fork: Probation by 9FingerGames. According to reports, the demo has been played by more than 100.000 individuals, or sinners as they are called. I am not surprised. Still, it is quite the number for a demo in today’s market. But how about the highlights of week 24, I hear you say? Will they do as good or better? I guess that comes down to you and what you think about the games. So let us take a look at what we have to work with!

The harvest of a lifetime
Horror Stories: Harvest Hunt is a double edge sword. I enjoy the concept and can see the game becoming a hit amongst content creators—especially if the developer Villainous Games Studio makes it so viewers can control certain aspects of the game via the chat. But I have to say, the enemy design is so stiff and lackluster it makes dead bodies from the 1800 seem more colorful and lively.
If you want to join said bodies, play Roto Force by Accidently Awesome. Yes, you are likely to perish sooner rather than later. But you will do so with a smile on your face. I would go as far as to say that Roto Force is one of few headliners in its category and a good addition to your Steam library if you enjoy these kinds of games.
Whatever you decide to do, I am going back into Horror Stories: Harvest Hunt. If I survive that excursion I will take a look at Tobor by Cogoo as well. It is an odd game, to say the least. But we like odd, right? Now, where did I put that bell and pitchfork …
