DINO MERCS and four more games

Believe it or not, I have not consumed alcohol since 2019. There was no particular reason for me to stop either. It just happened and has been like that ever since. But after today I gladly take five different bottles of whiskey. Yes, it has been one of those days. You know, multiple meetings, burnt food, and everything else in between. I even managed to lose a tire on my bicycle. Do not ask how it happens because I have no idea how. But I can say this much. I went headfirst into a tree while my tire took off to the neighboring town.

It might not come as a surprise, but the only reason I am still around giving two shits about this day is this week’s list. But it has to be said. While there were games released, I could not find much in terms of general updates or announcements. Well, that is not entirely true. I found one announcement that is worth talking about, and that is Steam’s upcoming Puzzle Fest. Yes, you read that right, a puzzle-centric Steam event. You did not see that coming, did you?

I do not know about you, but I will crawl the lists during the event to see if I can find some hidden gems I have yet to learn about. Now, I have already tried a bunch of upcoming puzzle games. But I know there are more, and you can be sure I will do my best to find them. Who knows, I might end up just talking about puzzle games next week regardless of whatever else gets released. I mean, the event is running between April 24 – May 1, 2023. So why not, right?

But I am getting ahead of myself, or this week rather. So let us take a look at the highlights of week 16 before we forget why we are here.

Hidden objects and puzzles

I have one last thing to share before I go tend to my wounds. It is not a puzzle game per se. It is a hidden objects game with fancy puzzles sprinkled on top. A good one at that. It is called Crime O’Clock and is set to release on June 30, 2023. It is not your regular run-of-the-mill hidden objects game. This one has linked stories, minigames where you hack your way through different puzzles, and a slew of other things. Now, I do not know if this is the case. But if Crime O’Clock is part of the Steam Puzzle Fest and there is a demo available, do yourself a favor and try the game.

On the subject of games to try. I have a couple of reviews I need to write and get scheduled. So it is time for me to bid you adieu and get to work. Or maybe I should say continue to work? Whatever the case may be. I will see you here next week with a new list. Until then, take care!
